Board of Directors

100+ Women Who Care – Madison was founded by a dedicated, compassionate group of women dedicated to making an impact. That vision and passion continues with the organization’s current Board of Directors.

Our Board consists of active 100+ Women Who Care – Madison members. Each member has committed to a minimum of two consecutive years of service. They oversee the administration, event management, accounting, communications, promotions and governance of the evolving member-based organization.

Officers

Pam Klein, President

100+ Member since: 2019

Pam’s motto is #doallthegoodican and when she discovered 100+ Women Who Care – Madison she knew she’d found the perfect organization to help make that happen! Pam was introduced to 100+ Women Who Care – Madison in 2019 and attended her first meeting as a guest. She knew within minutes she would join and shortly after joining, she decided this was exactly the type of organization she would like to become more involved in. Pam loves the efficiency and ease in which members can participate and feels the impact the organization makes in this community is like no other. She hopes her unique skill set as an educator and district event planner will make 100+ Women Who Care – Madison a great space to give back to the community.


Angela Keelan, Co-founder

Professional Snapshot: Podcast Host – “Full of Surprises”,  Professional Life and Career Coach at Angela Keelan Coaching & Consulting

Angela’s inspiration to start the 100+ Women Who Care – Madison Chapter came in 2013 after learning about the 100+ movement from her sister Jennifer’s involvement in the 100+ Women Kirkwood, MO chapter. “I was so excited about what we could build for Madison, I asked two dear friends Beth Viney and Karin Henning if they were interested in co-founding the organization and we were all in! Soon thereafter, Christy La Masney and Sona Olson joined our founding ranks and we grew from 0-100 members in 2 months. The organization hasn’t looked back since!”


Jane Braatz, Treasurer

100+ Member since: 2014
Professional Snapshot: Retired Controller/Director of Accounting at J.H. Findorff & Son Inc.

Jane was recruited by a 100+ Women Who Care – Madison member in Dec 2014 to join the growing organization. After being immediately impressed by the grass roots efforts to bring wonderful women of our community together to learn more about the many deserving charities in Dane County, she joined the board to help meet their finance needs. She is responsible for updating the membership database, collecting donations and remitting contributions to the winning organizations. 


Susan Rather, Secretary, Membership & Charities

Professional Snapshot: Co-owner of BrightStar Care, and BrightStar Senior Living

Susan  was introduced to 100+ Women by a long time member who thought the organization would appeal to her desire to give back to her community. It only took one meeting to know she was right! Susan loves the concept of giving together, and the way a little bit can add up to a lot and really make a difference. She also loves the educational aspect and increased awareness of how so many people are working to do really great things. Susan brings many years of strategic planning and organizational development to the board, and is honored to serve this amazing organization.

Professional Snapshot: Executive Director, The River Food Pantry

In June 2017, 100+ Women Who Care – Madison selected The River Food Pantry as an Impact Award recipient and awarded the organization over $16,000. Rhonda was so moved by the donation that she joined 100+ Women Who Care. She is passionately committed to supporting organizations which are making a positive change in our community. Rhonda loves the impact that is being made in Dane County by women who come together quarterly to make a difference.


Sehade Carter

100+ Member since: 2023
Professional Snapshot: HR Manager, Plastic Ingenuity

Sehade Carter has a strong passion for community involvement, non-profit support and developing beneficial connections. During her work at Plastic Ingenuity, Sehade has created a partnership with Black Men’s Coalition of Dane County to offer livable wage employment to over 30 black men and women as well as the Latino Workforce Development Academy where they have offered ESL classes for their Latino team members. Sehade is working on a similar initiative to address the language barriers for the Hmong and Albanian population.

She was introduced to 100+ Women Who Care – Madison by a friend and knew it was a chance to connect with like-minded women who are passionate about giving back to our community.


Araceli Esparza

100+ Member since: 2021
Professional Snapshot: DEI speaker and founder of Midwest Mujeres, a Latina-based organization that help connects all women in the midwest area through networking and online education on social media and digital storytelling.

Araceli Esparza was introduced to 100+ Women by a member who thought the organization would appeal to her desire to give back to her community through diversity and inclusion. It only took one meeting to know she was right! Araceli loves the concept of giving together as women to impact our community. She also loves the educational aspect and increased awareness of the great work nonprofits serve. Araceli brings many years of strategic planning and organizational diversity development to the board and is honored to serve this amazing organization.

100+ Women who Care – Madison represent the heart of Dane County’s sense of philanthropy, and Araceli is pleased to be a part of a group so focused on helping those in need in our communities.


Val Hartjes, Membership & Sponsorship

Professional Snapshot: Vice President, Community Engagement at Park Bank

Val is proud to be an inaugural member of 100+ Women Who Care – Madison. Since 2014 she has been actively and passionately supporting the group and its generous impact on those in need.

What drew Val to 100+ Women is their goal to make a substantial financial impact within our local non-profit community. And the fact that hundreds of women gather on a regular basis to collectively make this happen.
From serving on non-profit boards and staff to volunteering, Val truly understands how important local support is to address the critical needs of our community.

Katy is honored to rejoin the 100+ Women Who Care – Madison board of directors. She is a charter member and served on the board from 2017-2020. The organization represents the heart of Dane County’s sense of philanthropy and she is pleased to be a part of a group so focused on helping those in need in our communities.


Amy Steger

100+ Member since: 2022
Professional Snapshot: Communications & Marketing Specialist, Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District

Amy was introduced to 100+ Women Who Care – Madison by a board member and was immediately captivated by the concept of this organization and the huge impact that our group of impassioned women makes on our local community. Amy loves attending the meetings to learn about area nonprofits and the many ways our pooled donations make a significant difference for those in need.

Amy brings twenty years of experience in event planning, communications and digital marketing across the private, nonprofit and public sectors. She has been a volunteer leader and active supporter of many local nonprofits and community initiatives throughout her career. Amy is proud to be a member of 100+ Women Who Care – Madison and is honored to serve on its board.
