Making Your Donation

To streamline the 100+ Women Who Care – Madison billing and collection processes as well as those of the receiving charity, 100+ Women uses electronic invoicing and payments through WAVE Financial Software.

Electronic invoices will be emailed to members on the 7th day of the month of each quarterly meeting (March, June, September and December). Members may remit the donation online through the WAVE system and an electronic receipt will be automatically viewable following receipt of payment.

Automatic payment options are available to members choosing to pay with a credit card instead of via bank ACH.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can I still write a check at each quarterly meeting in lieu of electronic payment processing?

Yes. However, the check should be made payable to 100+ Women Who Care – Madison.

2. Is my donation to 100+ Women tax-deductible?

Yes. 100+ Women is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. You will receive a receipt acknowledging your donation.

3. How is my donation transferred to the winning charity?

After each meeting and several times subsequently until all collected proceeds have been remitted, 100+ Women will make payments to the winning organization equaling the donations received.

4. Are there fees associated with my remittance?

Yes. 100+ Women will be assessed a bank/credit card fee of 2.9% plus $.30 per transaction. To minimize administrative costs and maximize your charitable impact, we ask that you use the bank payments (ACH) option to pay your quarterly invoice.

5. Can I cover the bank/card fees?

Yes. Before you hit the final ‘PAY’ button, change the amount to pay a higher amount that would include an approximate cushion with which to cover fees. In the example below, the invoice amount was $100 but overridden with $104 to effectively cover the 2.9% plus $.30/per transaction fee.

6. Can I prepay the full year to minimize transaction fees and the bookkeeping burden?

Yes. Prior to the March meeting each year, each member will receive an invoice for the entire giving year. You may elect to pay the invoice in full upon receipt or pay quarterly installments on the invoice after each quarterly meeting.

7. My employer provides matching funds for my personal, charitable donations. How will this work?

Once you have electronically paid your invoice, print the viewable receipt and forward to your employer. Note to your employer that your donation was made to 100+ Women so your employer’s matching donation will also be made to 100+ Women. Then complete the form on this page so we know to expect your employer’s donation on your behalf.

8. Will I receive a receipt from the winning charity?

No. The viewable receipt will be from 100+ Women, as that is the entity that received your funds.

9. Can I pay with a debit card rather than providing information to my bank account?

Yes. However, the software assesses the same charge whether you use a credit card or debit card – 2.9% plus $.30 per transaction.

10. What is the most economical way to pay the invoice?

Paying via ACH payment through your bank account. Fees will be higher for credit or debit card payments than for bank payments.

13. Does 100+ Women store my personal bank or credit card information?

No. The personal information is not collected, shared or retained by 100+ Women. The information is collected and maintained by WAVE, a subsidiary of H&R Block.

14. May I also donate to the charity that didn’t win the quarterly vote?

Yes! Bring your checkbook along to the meeting and write your check directly to the charity of your choosing or donate online
