Info for Charity Presenters

100+ Women Who Care – Madison donates to 501(c)(3) organizations located in Dane County. In order to be considered for a donation from our members, charities must be nominated by a member of the 100+ Women Who Care – Madison.

Here is some important information for charities chosen to present at a 100+ Women Who Care – Madison meeting:

How many people will be in attendance?

Despite the name, our organization comprises many more than 100 women. Approximately 200-300 women are part of our membership, though less generally attend the meetings.

When should I arrive?

Registration and networking begins at 5:00 pm and the meetings start promptly at 6:00 pm, running for exactly one hour. Please arrive no later than 5:30 pm to meet with the organization’s volunteer representatives and draw for presentation order.

How many other charities are presenting?

Three charities are voted in by the membership to present at each meeting.

What format is the presentation and how long should it be?

Each presenter has five minutes to present. This is a verbal presentation only, no visual aids are allowed. You may bring a representative and/or a beneficiary of your organization to help tell your charity’s story.

Will people have a chance to ask me questions?

After each charity’s presentation, the audience has five minutes to ask questions of the presenters.

When do I learn if we won?

The votes are tallied during the meeting and the winning charity is announced just prior to 7:00 pm that night.

How large is the total donation?

The exact total is based on current membership numbers and varies by quarter. Each charity generally receives more than $15,000. This will be paid via check from 100+ Women Who Care – Madison the month after the meeting when the award is announced.
