News Release: National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Dane County Wins Impact Award

Dane County non-profit receives donation from 100+ Women Who Care of Madison

Madison – National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Dane County was the recipient of what will amount to more than $18,000 December 9 during the fourth quarter meeting of the philanthropic group 100+ Women Who Care of Madison.

NAMI Dane County is the founding chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mental illness.

“NAMI is thrilled to be the recipient of the 100+ Women Who Care of Madison’s fourth quarter impact award,” said Anna Moffit, executive director of NAMI Dane County. “This generous donation will help us launch a new, innovative youth support group to better serve the community.”

100+ Women Who Care of Dane County is a 501(c)3 charitable organization whose sole mission is to support the many non-profit organizations who serve Dane County citizens. “100+ Women Who Care is pleased to award NAMI Dane County this quarter’s Impact Award,” said Tess Brooks, Chairwoman of 100+ Women Who Care of Madison. “Through our members’ generous giving, we have donated $367,037 to organizations since our inception in 2014 and we look forward to seeing the continued expansion of NAMI.”
