100+ Women Who Care – Madison has a new vision for our membership structure: We Are One Team.
Our “we are one team” model introduces three new membership levels – Champions, Leaders and Friends – and allows everyone a voice as we unite to give back locally. In the new structure, each and every member may participate and have control over their charity ballot vote, charity vote at our meetings and donation activities. This new structure launches on January 1, 2022.
Champion level members donate $200 per quarter. $100 of a Champion’s donation is given to the Impact Award winner and the other half of a Champion’s donation will be distributed as they designate annually, at the start of each year. Examples of how Champions may choose to distribute quarterly $200 donations:
$200 to the winning charity each quarter.
$100 to the winning charity and $50 to each of the runner-up charities.
$100 to the winning charity, $25 to each runner-up and $50 to support 100+ Women Who Care – Madison, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
Leader level members are the same as our traditional individual memberships, donating $100 to the Impact Award winner each quarter.
Friend level members donate $50 quarterly to the winning charity. Friends are similar to (what was formerly) team-based membership, except that every individual now has voting rights.
In the new structure, each and every member may participate and have control over their nominations, votes and donation activities.
Current members will be emailed information on membership transitions and future donation pledges. We hope many of our members can continue to pledge $100 per quarter, but are introducing $200 and $50 per quarter options to accommodate most situations.
Members wishing to become Champion or Friend members can email their preferences to membership@100womenmadison.org by December 31, 2021. Members who do not designate a specific membership level by December 31, 2021 will automatically transition to Leader memberships on January 1, 2022.
With the shift toward individual membership for everyone, at multiple donation levels, we hope to build a stronger sisterhood. Every member will have a voice! All 100+ Women will be able to nominate local charities and vote for donation recipients at our quarterly meetings.
This “we are one team” simplification puts a stronger focus on our mission to give back to local charities and better helps us work toward the same goals together.
